5 Reasons Why You May Want To Strength Train
August 18th, 2008Well, this wouldn’t be tough to convince most males as the average dude does want to be quite simply, strong.
However, it’s safe to say that for women, the reverse might be the case. But ladies, do take this to heart, the benefits of strength training are powerful, and strength training needs to be a part of any fitness program.
Strength training does the following but is not limited to the following:
1. Reduces health risks. Strength training helps prevent cardiovascular disease, obesity, type 2 diabetes, arthritis, low back pain, and certain types of cancer.
2. Keeps you strong. People who don’t exercise regularly can lose up to 80% of their strength by age 65. This loss of strength is not the normal result of aging, it’s primarily the result of a sedentary lifestyle. Strength training is the best way to prevent the loss of strength.
3. Strengthens bones.
4. Decreases body fat.
5. Improves appearance.
So, why not get on board with your strength training regimen.
To Health.
