Apparently, there are specific ways that I have discovered work in using the Environne Veggie wash.

I have found that when certain fruits are washed in the ‘dip’ method versus “scrubbing”, their tastes could be greatly altered. Perhaps, this has to do with the kind of fruit, as in: if it’s being cut, if the skin is edible etc.

As a result, to serve as a blue-print of sorts for my readers, herewith is how I wash my staples.

Scrubbing Method:

1. First, make a solution of about a capful of the environne added to approx 2-3 quarts of water.

2. Wash your hands then give the fruit a thorough rinse under water while massaging its skin. Set aside into a container for this 1st step.

3. Wash your hands again; now massage the exterior of the fruit with the solution.

4. Rinse under running water.

5. Now Scrub with the solution

6. Rinse under water again

7. Set the produce aside into the container you will be eating from later on the day.

8. After washing all the produce you intend to eat (for example 5 apples, 4 Asian pears etc) hold the container under running water, fill up to cover the fruit and rinse. Do this at least 2-3 times to ensure it’s rinsed thoroughly.

9. Do a final rinse with distilled water (twice) then set aside.

Dip Method:

For harder produce like mangoes, persimmons, cherimoyas that have a skin that perhaps won’t eaten,

1. First, make a solution of about a capful of the environne added to approx 2-3 quarts of water.

2. Wash your hands, and then scrub the produce with a brush under running water (without the solution)

3. Set aside into a container for this 1st step.

4. Now dip the produce in the solution, while swishing for about 20-30 seconds.

5. Rinse under running water

6. Perform Steps 4-5 for three times.

7. Rinse under water again

8. Set the produce aside into the container you will be eating from later on the day.

9. After washing all the produce you intend to eat (for example 3 mangoes, 4 persimmons etc) hold the container under running water, fill up to cover the fruit and rinse. Do this at least 2-3 times to ensure it’s rinsed thoroughly.

10. Do a final rinse with distilled water (twice) then set aside.

*Presently, I use the scrubbing method for my Melons, Citrus (when juicing them), & the Occasional Papayas.

*For the first dip method, this is used for my mangoes, Fuyu Persimmons, Apples, Cherimoyas, Asian Pears.

*For Avocadoes, Apples, Cactus Pears and Bananas , simply rinse the fruits by holding them under a running shower of faucet, put aside, then apply the steps 3-10 in the afore mentioned dip method.

***Finally, for all other produce like the occasional vegetables, tangerines, grapes, stone fruit, I use the dip method above WITHOUT the brush. For Softer Produce like tomatoes, Grapes, Cherimoyas and Hachiya Persimmons, I have found that rinsing them by filling the pot with water, swishing it around then discarding the water about 3-4 times before employing steps 3-10 above for the “dip” method of washing works quite efficiently. As a matter of fact, unless you can visibly see the wax on the produce, for soft fruits and vegetables, you can apply the dip method after rinsing 3-4 times as described under the paragraph beginning with ***.

As of the time of this writing, I am yet to use the Environne Fruit & Vegetable Wipes and of course, the makers have their own instructions on the label of the container which you could experiment with as well.

Just remember, the key factor here is you’ve got to wash your produce to avoid food poisoning, contaminations and for personal hygiene. You’ll be shocked with the amount of dirt/grunge that comes off of fruits and veggies you wash with this. Water just won’t be sufficient, plus, when you read the ingredients of the veggie wash,  you won’t be concerned- they are just light natural surfactants (soapy oil-breakers), and you don’t need to feel bad about anything in there.

As a side note, as much as possible, I will also advise that if you can, try to wash each fruit with its own solution. This brings out the best taste for me and is indeed healthier. Imagine taking a bath in the same solution that another person has used, the same applies to fruits. Moreover, if you happen to eat conventional fruits at the same time with organic ones, see to it that you wash the cleaner, organic ones first.

How To Avoid Cross Contamination Of Fruits and Vegetables When Washing Them

Okay, don’t sigh just yet and say this sounds like a lot of work because honestly, it is not and what I am about to tell you is worth it in terms of the taste and cleanliness of fruits and vegetables.

When I use the “Dip Method” for washing fruits as described in this article, I noticed that lately the outside of my Mangoes seemed to darken up and shrivel up later on in the evenings. Furthermore, the sweet taste of my fruits seemed to diminish a little bit.

So intuitively, I tried using a different brush for scrubbing each fruit and Lo and Behold, the problems with taste and appearance of my fruits stopped and they actually tasted even better. So, for what it is worth, I am divulging this tip to you. As I said earlier you could use the Environne Fruit & Vegetable Wipes and of course, the makers have their own instructions on the label of the container which you could experiment with as well, if you want to by–pass all of these steps (if they indeed appear too much, though I tend to think otherwise…).

However, to make it easier, what I do is wash the containers and 3-4 fruits and vegetable brushes the night before or the morning off any given day using a regular dishwashing liquid at this time and I make sure to rinse them all thoroughly.

It may sound like it’s a lot to do, but it’s really not. Moreover, for fruits like Bananas and Avocadoes, I usually fore-go the extra steps mentioned herewith and simply use the designated method for washing them as listed in this article after washing my lemons or apples (depending on the season). Hey, these specific fruits have skins that I am not going to be touching with my mouth per-se…

In addition, for fruits like Watermelon and other Musk Melons, I may not be as concerned (especially in the case of the former-I mean it does have a pretty thick skin!). But, since I do have a preference for some of my fruits to taste the best they can be, I would be extra careful when it comes to Honey Dew Melons-but that’s just me. I want the BEST taste possible for this delicious fruit.

I also recommend that you use purified drinking water for making the veggie wash solution at all times and stages when it is being used for washing fruits and vegetables as described in this chapter.

This is for the following reasons that I have recently noticed:

1. The Environne Solution lathers up even more when drinking water is used.

2. The Fruits actually taste even better.

So, that leads me to conclude that the filtered water I use for drinking and the final rinse of my fruits must be cleaner if I can actually notice such minuscule details when it comes to fruits.

On a side note, save your money and don’t bother buying fruit and vegetable brushes from the internet or grocery stores that don’t last but a few days and cost upwards of $5 for one brush! Simply go to any ‘dollar’ or discount store in your area and get the “Iron Brushes” that go for about a buck each. They are usually about 4-6 inches long and half of that in width. (You may do a Google Images Search for “iron scrubbing brush” and see what I am referring to. Just make sure it’s firm but not too firm where it may bruise your fruits. You have to use your own discrepancy here for that.)

In addition, for what it is worth, let me remind you at this stage to please wash your hands before and after you eat each fruit and remember to wipe them with paper towels versus using the same napkins over and over which simply may not be as clean!

I also rub my hands together vigorously for a few seconds to warm up my hands and to remove some of the excessive stickiness of paper towels. If you are wondering why I have to warm up the hands, it’s because I don’t use hot water to wash my hands most of the time (especially at home before eating) because I don’t want to inhale the excess unfiltered chlorine from the hot water coming out of the faucet which may trigger respiratory problems. Again, that’s just me, what works for me may not necessarily work for you. However, I am just giving you these little tips that I use when it comes to washing and eating my fruits.

While we are on the subject, I would like to mention that it is also a good idea to thoroughly wash and rinse the containers you may be using for your lemonade (and juices) as depicted in Chapters 14, 25 and 26 of this book. Also, remember to try to rinse them out with DRINKING water 2 or 3 times to remove the excessive tap water and possible soap residue before filling them up with drinking water to use for the lemonade.

Furthermore, if like me, you may be using an extra shower in your home for washing the fruit (since the water pressure is much more than a faucet and you can use an actual shower filter for most shower heads), do ensure that you have on some warm clothing (I use a hooded sweat shirt) and aprons to avoid the chills from standing next to a cold shower for that long while washing fruits.

Also, please remember the following. As much as you may be tempted to wash your produce once and for all for the week by washing a lot of produce and then putting them in the refrigerator, I will suggest that you DO NOT do that. Because

-Washing produce in bulk and later on refrigerating them changes the taste of the fruits drastically. (Even conventional websites will tell you to never wash fruits before storing them.)

-When fruits are washed, they need to be eaten the same day (within about 16 hours or so) and I also would like to suggest you have all your fruits out of the fridge a full 24 hours before use. (This may not apply to leafy vegetables, which could be pulled out of the fridge perhaps 6 hours before use.)

To wrap this chapter up, when it comes to washing your fruit, you could follow the directions on the Environee Fruit and Vegetable wash bottle and do what I call the shampoo method, however, you will discover that uses up a lot of the solution.

The bottom-line simply is, you have to wash your fruits with a solution designed for that purpose. I have outlined what works for me and should work for the majority. However, based on your needs and time factors, you can simply do what works for you…as long as you make the attempt to wash the fruits for your own good.

At least let the fruits have contact with the solution for at least 20-30 seconds minimum.

Ultimately, if you would simply choose to use the Environne wipes instead of the Environne Solution per se, as long as you notice that your fruits taste good and you do not have any digestive disturbances, then suffice it to say you should be fine.

Remember, even with fruits and vegetables the adage “Cleanliness is next to Godliness” still applies!

Now, most people may claim that the Old ‘Mosaic’ Laws were done away with on the Cross when Jesus died.

Some others say that we now live by grace and not by law; as a result, people can choose to eat whatever they want.

However, is this really the case?

Let’s go over this in more detail, shall we-

Now, to serve as a
quick reference tool, here is a table on some of biblical verses/statements as
they relate to Clean and Unclean Meats.

Excuses Given By
Most Christians For Eating Unclean Things
The Biblical
Truth About Such Excuses

Jesus did away with the old testament when he came and died on the cross
That is erroneous. The same Jesus said in Matthew 5:
17 ‘Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or
the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear,
not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means
disappear from the Law
until everything is accomplished.
19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of
these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the
kingdom of heaven
, but whoever practises and teaches these commands will
be called great in the kingdom of heaven
It should be clear as day that He has not changed anything
except what needs to be done when the laws are disobeyed or broken. (Friends,
this is not a license to keep breaking the laws!)

Hey, I’m not a pastor or ordained minister, but you and I sure can read. So, when it comes to eating unclean meats and things not fit
for human consumption, if science and medical research say they are wrong,
why risk it? Especially when there are better alternatives.
A read through of Leviticus chapters 18-20deals with
sexual activity. Much (if not all) of what is listed there are practices that
most Christians will readily frown upon and accept as the Law of God.
However, it is noteworthy that these Laws against
Sexual Immorality such as Prostitution, Bestiality  &
Incest in Leviticus are in the same location of the Bible that prohibits the
consumption of pork and other unclean animals. Now, it’s safe to say all
well-meaning Christians know better than to say that such laws about sex have
been ‘nailed to the cross’ or no longer apply to us as we ‘live under grace.’
Well, then the argument or belief that the laws about unclean meats being
abolished should be seen as invalid as well, since they are in the same book
of the Bible. Let’s not deceive ourselves on this!
Why take out some laws and accept them as applicable to modern-day
Christians, then render the rest as no longer relevant, especially when the
consequences on disobeying them affects our health and the health of our
offspring.

Jesus said: “it’s not what goes into a person that makes them impure but what comes out…”

Jesus said: “it’s not what goes into a person that
makes them impure but what comes out…”
My dear friend, please finish reading the whole chapter-
The parallel passage to Mark 7 is Matthew
15
.
The scribes taught that eating any food without a special ceremonial
washing defiled the eater.
However, Jesus said the ceremonial washings were meaningless. In verse 19,
He listed certain evils–murders, adulteries, thefts, etc. Then He concluded,
“These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashed
hands
defiles not a man.”
Verse 20.
No where here does he say we can eat unclean meats…of course you
can read this yourself and see.)

It should be noted that the Pharisees watched every word and movement
Jesus made. When one reads the bible, it is apparent that they falsely
accused him of breaking the Sabbath, and claimed that he blasphemed when he
said JEHOVAH God was his Father, John 5:18.
However, not ONCE did any Jew accuse the Messiah of eating, or supporting
the eating of, unclean meats.

Well, at the end of Mark 7:19 most Bible translations say, “Thus
He declared all foods clean.”
So it’s pretty clear that Jesus changed the old food regulations in Leviticus 11, and its ok to eat pork,
shellfish, or whatever we want, right?

Well, at the end of Mark 7:19 most Bible translations say, “Thus
He declared all foods clean.”
So it’s pretty clear that Jesus
changed the old food regulations in Leviticus 11, and its ok to eat pork,
shellfish, or whatever we want, right?
From a first glance, it will appear that indeed, Jesus declared all foods
clean however that is not the case.

The most important clue for understanding any passage in the Bible is to
check the context. In this case, it’s given in Mark 7:1-5 where Jesus is
asked, “Why do Your disciples not walk according to the Tradition of
the Elders, but eat their bread with unwashed hands?” (v.5).

Now, please make a note of three things-
1. The question isn’t about the LAW, but about a
TRADITION.
2. Second, it’s NOT a question about what may be eaten.
It’s about whether one may eat at all without a ritual hand washing.
3. Third, you do notice they (the Pharisees and Jesus)
were talking about BREAD (unleavened, biblical bread that we all agree would have
had no yeast, chemicals etc) and NOT meat! In case you missed it: …but eat
their BREAD with unwashed hands?” (v.5).
So, it should be clear to all that the subject of Mark
7:1-19 wasn’t clean OR unclean meats. Therefore it cannot be about abolishing
the Laws in Leviticus 11 either.
Also, keep in mind that Jesus himself DID NOT make such a
contradictory statement, (thus he declared all meats clean)
The Greek manuscripts of the book of Mark do not actually
contain the words, “Thus He declared all foods clean.” Check your
trusty old King James Version of Mark 7:19.
It reads quite differently.
a. Mark 7:19
(NIV)
For it doesn’t go into his heart but into his stomach, and then out
of his body.” (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods
“clean.”)
b. Mark 7:19
(KJV)
Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and
goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?
The King James or New King James Versions of the Bible do
not include the phrase “By saying this, Jesus meant that all foods were
fit to eat…” in Mark
7:19.
So, at least, in regards to what this chapter is about-Health Laws in the
Bible, these versions may be the safest.
***In addition, the parallel to that chapter in Matthew
15: verse 20 makes NO mention of Jesus declaring ALL foods clean in any of
the verses I have looked up on the internet.
Naturally, people may still ask, “Ok, but why do
so many translations seem to say that He declared all foods clean?”
Well, for one the ORIGINAL English Version does NOT say
that.
In addition, this discussion took place in a social and
historical context different than our own. Language and practice were based
on the Word of God exclusively.
For instance, their holidays were those days set apart in
the Bible for special observance, not modern man-made ones.
Their property rights were those of the Bible, not modern
man-made ones.
So, only those things that were not “defiled”,
“unclean” were considered food, everything else was not.
Therefore, reading Mark 7:19 as they would have, it means,
“Thus He declared all things-given-by- God-as food to
be clean, regardless of ritual hand washing.”
It should be noted that the Pharisees watched every word
and movement Jesus made.
When one reads the bible, it is apparent that they falsely
accused him of breaking the Sabbath, and claimed that he blasphemed when he
said JEHOVAH God was his Father as is depicted in John 5:18.
However, not ONCE did any Jew accuse the Messiah of
eating, or supporting the eating of, unclean meats!
In addition, I fail to see why Jesus would want to harm
His Bride-the Church- physically (by telling us to eat the wrong things
that would make us sick)
or spiritually (by telling us to disobey the
laws of the Father.)
It’s safe to say we should be on the same page now.
Well, 1 Timothy 4:4 says, “Every creature of
God is good, and nothing to be refused.”

Well, 1 Timothy 4:4 says, “Every creature of
God is good, and nothing to be refused.”

Well, 1 Timothy 4:4 says, “Every creature of
God is good, and nothing to be refused.”
At this point in time, common sense will dictate that this verse cannot
and will not authorize eating skunks, leeches, maggots, tapeworms and every
other imaginable animal, insect or parasite. If this were the literal meaning
of the verse, it would mean that people are also good to eat.

Every creature of God is good—“very good”—according to
Genesis 1:31. That includes every kind of vermin, parasite and
poisonous creature that exists. However the Creator Himself calls some of His
creatures abominable and detestable, when USED AS FOOD FOR
HUMANS. To understand this verse, we must read the previous verses more
carefully. Context is the key to correct understanding.
This Scripture passage (verse 3) refers to meats “which God hath
created to be received with thanksgiving” by His people.
These meats, as we have already discovered, are the clean meats listed in
Leviticus chapter 11 and Deuteronomy chapter 14. Verse 4 makes it clear that
all creatures of God are good and not to be refused, provided they are among
those created to “be received with thanksgiving” (the clean
animals).
The key verse to keep in mind here is Verse 5, which tells us why
these animals (or foods) are acceptable: they are “sanctified” by God’s
Word, which says they are clean.
Paul’s instructions to Timothy actually affirmed that food must have PRIOR
APPROVAL in the word of God (the Old Testament) in order to be eaten.
As a result, suffice it to say that in this passage, Paul is actually
reinstating the pertinence and use of the Old Testament dietary laws.
It’s very telling that in 2 Corinthians 6:17 it says: Therefore, ‘Come out
from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and
I will receive you.
Can this verse be any clearer?
But didn’t Jesus cleanse all animals in Peter’s vision, as recorded in Acts 10? (Acts10:13)

But didn’t Jesus cleanse all animals in Peter’s vision, as recorded in Acts 10? (Acts10:13)

But didn’t Jesus cleanse all animals in Peter’s vision, as recorded in Acts 10? (Acts10:13)

But didn’t Jesus cleanse all animals in Peter’s vision, as recorded in Acts 10? (Acts10:13)
No! In fact, the subject of this vision is not animals,
but people. God gave Peter this vision to show him that the Gentiles were not
unclean, as the Jews believed.
Acts 10: 28-Peter said to them: ‘You are well aware that
it is against our law for a Jew to associate with or visit a Gentile. But
God has shown me that I should not call anyone impure or unclean.
Let’s face it, if God “purified unclean foods,”
the physical world should now exist with an absence of the risk in consuming
them. That is there will be NO diseases or illnesses currently attached to
eating meat the wrong way. (Unclean animals, fat consumption etc)
Dear Friends, Eerdmans’ Handbook of the Bible comments: “These lists
[of clean and unclean creatures] have a significance often ignored. Far from
being based on fad or fancy, these lists emphasize a fact not discovered
until late in the last century… that animals carry diseases dangerous to man”
(p. 176).
In fact, the same animals labeled unclean in Scripture still carry
parasitic diseases that are still dangerous to human beings today!
As is elaborated upon, most unclean animals are carnivores or scavengers
that can transmit dangerous diseases to human beings. Clean fish have fins
and scales. Unclean aquatic organisms like clams and oysters are filter
feeders that purify water, and as a result, concentrate poisonous chemicals
and pathologic bacteria and viruses in their tissues. Crabs and lobsters are
scavengers that eat dead things on the bottom of bodies of water,
furthermore, most unclean birds are carnivores or scavengers.
Therefore, it is worth mentioning that God in His wisdom
inspired laws to protect humans from contracting dangerous diseases, and to
also protect his assigned clean-up crew by making them “off limits” as food
for mankind.
Now, please take a look at Leviticus 3: 17
again “You must never eat any fat or blood. This is a permanent law
for you, and it must be observed from generation to generation, wherever you
live.”

Do you notice the keywords: “PERMANENT” “GENERATION TO GENERATION”…?
Isn’t it clear that God has made this law permanent? So, if there is
scientific proof that fat and blood cannot be removed from the flesh of
unclean animals, how then is it possible that the “law has changed or has
been nailed to the cross after the death and resurrection of the messiah?”
At this time, it is worth mentioning that the flesh of animals listed as
“unclean” for human consumption in the Bible pose unique risks to
humans who eat them.

What about the Verse That Says “You are not under law but under grace” in Romans 6:14?
Well, my dear friend. One of God’s laws is to respect our
parents. Would you dare slap your momma?
We know better than to disobey God’s laws.
That being said, guess what:
First, take a
notice of verse 15 right after the famous
“You are not under law, but
under grace”
statement in
verse 14.
It says: “What
then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no
means!”
At this stage, what exactly does the Bible define sin as?
The answer is in 1 John 3: 4 which says:“Everyone who keeps living in sin
also practices disobedience. IN FACT, SIN IS DISOBEDIENCE.”
Again, my friends, the whole verse has to be kept intact.
“For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the
law, but under grace. “.
Paul was not referring to the “Law of God” when making the
statement “You are not under the law but under grace”, but rather he was
referring to the “Law of sin” (sin being biblically defined as disobedience
to God’s Laws.
Suffice it to say that in regards to health, which is what
this book is about, God’s laws really do save us from diseases and
sickness when we obey them.
What about Genesis 9:3 which says: “Everything that lives and moves
about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give
you everything.”

What about Genesis 9:3 which says: “Everything that lives and moves
about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give
you everything.”

What about Genesis 9:3 which says: “Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.”

What about Genesis 9:3 which says: “Everything that lives and moves
about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give
you everything.”
Very interesting, I see the OLD TESTAMENT IS BEING QUOTED HERE.

I thought the general consensus was Christians are not bound by Old
Testament Rules? Also, you do know this was centuries BEFORE the so-called
“Mosaic” Laws, which were words uttered DIRECTLY by God!
Anyway, to answer that question about this Genesis 9:3 verse, all you need
to do is go to the VERY next verse and see the criterion for discernment when
analyzing verse 3.
Verse 4 says: “But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still
in it!”

I have heard a few people cite verse 3 and erroneously
assume that God made all things that LIVE and MOVE good for meat.
Well, lions, maggots, you and I LIVE AND MOVE….
Are we in fact GOOD FOR FOOD?
Of course not!
So according to verse 4, it becomes apparent that in
regards to meat consumption, discretion is to be exercised and this is
presented as follows:
Any flesh of animals which contains or retains its lifeblood must not be
eaten AND the ones that DON’T retain their lifeblood need to have this
component extracted.
This forms part of the distinction between the Unclean and Clean animals.
This perhaps could be scientifically explained in the fact that when
considering most unclean animals, their flesh contains much intra-cellular
fat or particles of fat inside the cells themselves, (for example the pig)
while in other animals, the fat is found almost exclusively outside these
cells in the connective tissues, in the form of fat cells. That’s why in
beef, you can easily see a layer of fat, then the flesh. The division of the
fat from the flesh perhaps makes it easy for a disintegration to occur
between flesh from its inherent fat and blood.
This fact is discussed in Leviticus 3: 17-“You must never eat any
fat or blood. This is a permanent law for you, and it must be observed
from generation to generation, wherever you live.”

Therefore, just as we would not eat ALL green plants as some serve
other purposes besides being food, a discerning factor is given here for
animals as well.
Now, I ask, can humans eat all plants perhaps including a plant growing on
your porch or on the block of your home?
Again, the answer will be NO.
Consequently, we can no more eat all types of meat than we can
eat all plants, including poisonous ones.
Here’s a reminder, we just finish going over an OLD TESTAMENT verse…again,
why is there a possibly a double standard when trying to justify our actions?
I thought Christians are not bound by OLD TESTAMENT laws which say
we MUST eat specific animals only, so why is an Old Testament verse being
quoted here…? Just a thought…
Wait a minute, how can a Loving God be upset with me or anyone else for simply eating things like pork or shrimp? Give me a break!
My dear friend, the symptoms of poor health that you may
experience at one time or another are the results of disobeying God’s laws as
they pertain to health.
God’s health laws are not illogical. They are natural, established laws of
the universe, like the law of gravity. What goes up, must come down, what
goes around comes around, you reap what you sow. Ignoring these laws
always brings certain disastrous results. Trouble comes when we ignore the
laws of health.
However, God, in mercy, tells us what these laws are so we
may avoid the tragedies that result from breaking them.
Now, in regards to God being angry or upset with us eating
unclean things, let the Maker speak Himself:
Please read: Isaiah 65:2-4:
2 All day long I have held out my
hands to an obstinate people, who walk in ways not good, pursuing their own
imaginations-
3 a people who continually provoke me to my very
face, offering sacrifices in gardens and burning incense on altars of brick;
4 who sit among the graves and spend their nights keeping secret vigil;
WHO
EAT THE FLESH OF PIGS, and whose pots HOLD BROTH OF IMPURE MEAT;
&
Isaiah 66:
16 For with fire and with his sword the Lord will execute
judgment on all people, and many will be those slain by the Lord.
17 ‘Those who consecrate and purify themselves to go into
the gardens, following one who is among those who eat the flesh of pigs,
rats and other unclean things
they will meet their end together
with the one they follow,’ declares the Lord.
Hmm, I was never aware of this, why aren’t these truths preached in Church?

Hmm, I was never aware of this, why aren’t these truths
preached in Church?
I have asked myself the same question.
Guess what, God has an opinion about this as He says in Ezekiel
22:26
26 …priests do violence to my law and profane my holy
things; they do not distinguish between the holy and the common; they
teach that there is no difference between the unclean and the clean;
and
they shut their eyes to the keeping of my Sabbaths,
so that I am profaned
among them.
&
Hosea 4:6: “My people are being destroyed
for lack of Knowledge…”
=================
Well, I didn’t make this statements, GOD himself did!
So, I do not want this to be seen as an attack against
religious teachers as I truly believe that most are well meaning and
sincerely may not be aware of such health laws in the Bible or are
misinformed in regards to them. (I’m not even going to get into
the whole Sabbath issue here; I have saved that for elsewhere in this book!)
Now, I doubt that any good intentioned pastor or church
leader, as it applies, would intentionally mislead or withhold information
from their congregation if it will benefit the church and they themselves,
including their own loved ones. So, suffice it to say that it’s time we all
simply do what God says since it is so closely tied to our health.
It’s been said that close to 7 out of 10 prayer requests in an average
church are about sickness! Furthermore, let’s be honest, why are Christians
just as sick as non-Christians?
Well, remember God Himself says: “Even though I gave
them ALL my laws, they act as if those laws don’t apply to them.”
Hosea
8:12

So, it should come as no surprise that God himself shows a
link between our poor health as Christians and a disregard for his laws in
this verse: “But their children, too,
rebelled against me. They refused to keep my decrees and follow my
regulations, even though obedience would have given them life.
.”
Ezekiel 20:21
That being said, it is time for a wake-up call in the
Christian community when it comes to obeying all of God’s laws.
How do we know which Scriptures are applicable to our
lives today and which are discounted as “culturally irrelevant”
(like greeting with a holy kiss or women covering their heads, etc.)?
To the degree that a stipulation is rooted in creation, to
that degree it has abiding value. (Marriage, sexual purity and eating the
proper foods would be huge in that regard.)
To the degree that it is commanded across the whole
terrain of Scripture—Old, New, Epistles, Gospels—Then it has high level
abiding validity. (Both the Old and New Testaments enforce sexual purity and
abstinence from Unclean Meats.)
And to the degree that it is related to the gospel and
close to the gospel it has ongoing validity and staying authority.
Basically, those three qualifications generally will
answer almost all of our questions.
A fourth one would be: If the New Testament invalidates
anything in the Old Testament that was commanded (like sacrifices or the
priesthood or circumcision—things like that), that’s another criterion so
that these are not required anymore.
In addition a fifth will be if God says something is a permanent law and if
He expressively says disobedience of such a law angers Him and will provoke
Him to punishing those who disobey. (For examples see Leviticus 3:17 which says:This is a PERMANENT LAW for the generations to
come, wherever you live: YOU MUST NOT EAT ANY FAT OR ANY BLOOD!” and the
previously cited
Isaiah 66:16-17
)

Well, as has been discussed in the table above, it should become obvious that any reasoning stating that the any of the old “Jewish” or “Mosaic” laws (namely the dietetic laws that pertain to a healthy diet) have been done away with is actually wrong and very well could be hazardous to our own well being.

Furthermore as has been discussed elsewhere in this blog, there are scientific reasons why adhering to these dietetic laws could actually be very beneficial to one’s own health and well being.

Now, I am aware some Christians may still be in disagreement with this principle of clean and unclean foods and they may cite ‘lesser’ commandments in the Bible that people tend to disobey as justification for the fact that it may be okay to fore go these laws.
Such laws can be found in Leviticus 19 and are laws against such things as tattoos, being clean shaven, wearing clothes made of 2 fabrics and a few others.
Well, there are benefits of actually obeying these laws as they pertain to health, so in fact they are laws that should still be obeyed as much as possible.
So, if these “lesser” laws are beneficial for us, how much more value would it be for us as Christians or people seeking to improve themselves to obey the “stricter laws” when they obviously carry more significance and value to our health at least to some degree.
Now, please remember the following:

*God said you MAY eat the flesh (“Of these are the animals you may eat…” Deut . 14: 4 ) not that you MUST eat.
*Be sure of the source of the clean animals like turkey, chicken, beef, so they are as close to clean as possible biblically.

*You could seek out the advice or directions from an orthodox Jewish friend or associate for help if needed.
*Re read Deut. 14 and Leviticus 11 yourself and let the Spirit and common sense guide you.
*Please eat a lot of fruits and vegetables to offset the inevitable harm of flesh consumption, especially in these modern times*if you must eat meat*the biblically clean ones that is.
*If God forbade fat and blood (and a lot of things we consume) I know it goes without saying frying is out of the question as well as the use of harmful condiments.
Dear Brethren, when it comes to second guessing God’s advice on anything (in this case as it relates to health) I would like to bring the following verses to your attention:

1. Hosea 4:6: “My people are being destroyed for lack of Knowledge…”

2. Proverbs 19: 3: “People ruin their lives by their own foolishness and then are angry at the LORD.”

3. Ecclesiastes 7: 9: God created people to be perfect, but they have each turned to follow their own downward path.”

So, suffice it to say that “Trusting in God’s Laws with all your heart” will be the best way to go for not only your health goals but with any aspect of your life.

Remember the Bible does say:

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

“…For I am the LORD who heals you!” Exodus 15:26

Well, I believe by now you should be enlightened on why it will be best to adhere to the previously mentioned options on eating the healthy way in the beginning of this post!

It is also my hope that you will make that change and learn how to use these guidelines in the Bible to build disease resistant bodies and a healthier you and the rest of your family and friends starting now and I am proud to say that my book FITNESS: INSIDE AND OUT could serve as a road-map to guide you to success in improving your health.

I’m Interested in Being a Vegetarian but Worried about Protein

Dear Friend, if indeed you are interested in being a vegetarian and worried about protein, let me divulge the following information:

banana

According to Mosby’s Medical Dictionary, 3rd Edition, Protein is medically defined as: any of a large group of naturally occurring, complex, organic nitrogenous compounds. Each is composed of large combinations of amino acids containing the elements carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, usually sulfur, and occasionally phosphorus, iron, iodine, or other essential constituents of living cells. Twenty-two amino acids have been identified as vital for proper growth, development, and maintenance of health. The body can synthesize 14 of these amino acids, called nonessential, whereas the remaining eight must be obtained from dietary sources and are termed essential. Protein is the major source of building material for muscles, blood, skin, hair, nails, and the internal organs.

Well, based on this simple definition, it is quite obvious that it is minerals that are the key to optimal health, not protein as we have been told to believe.

Why do I say this, well, it takes minerals to MAKE protein. The human body is made up of minerals, 102 to be exact, and each contains a definite amount of electrons per atom, which gives the mineral an atomic structure.

In order to have protein, you must have 22 complete amino acids, which are as follows:

Alanine

Arginine

Asparagine

Aspartic Acid

Carnitine

Citruline

Cysteine

Dimethylglycine

Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid

Glutamic Acid

Glutamine

Glutathione

Glycine

Histadine

Isoleucine

Leucine

Lysine

Methionine

Ornithine

Phenylalanine

Proline

Serine

Taurine

Threonine

It is worth mentioning that there is no one part of a human’s or animal’s body that consists of complete protein (22 amino acids).

NO, THE WHOLE BODY IS WHAT CONSTITUTES THE COMPOSITION OF PROTEIN. SO, IN OTHER WORDS, YOU MUST EAT EVERYTHING ON AN ANIMAL TO GET COMPLETE PROTEIN.

To be able to receive the optimal amount of protein, one would have to eat an organism nearly freshly alive (i.e. the animal has to have just been killed and RAW) just like the chimpanzee, the only frugivorous animal that occasionally eats flesh does and can do in addition to the true carnivores.

Carnivores don’t cook their meat before eating it. They do nothing to the animal but kill it and eat it immediately. In addition, don’t believe the protein hype about soy. Friends, most soy-based products are made of genetically engineered strains of soy and contain the estrogen hormonal precursor which you will soon discover is detrimental to people.

Now, for those who insist they must eat meat and will at least try to eat only BIBLICALLY CLEAN meats properly (as discussed in one of my previous articles) along with fruits and vegetables, suffice it to say you shouldn’t have any concerns about protein.

Furthermore, in regards to using produce grown from the land for healing purposes, I truly believe their value should not be underestimated or scoffed at.

It is my hope that this article/post has been able to clear up some of your worries as they may apply to vegetarianism and getting sufficient protein.

Here’s to Great Health.

How To Give Up Bad Habits In General

Now, at this stage, I have to be blunt with you in regards to certain things about our habits as humans. Most of the time, we seem to want the easy way out.

These days, there is a common tendency for health companies to do everything possible to appeal to the largest number of people. These companies seem to have the following assumptions:

  1. Most people are not ready for big changes.
  2. Most people should take small steps gradually until they are ready to make a big change.
  3. Most people are not ready to hear a radical/critical message and may even frown on it although it may be for their own good.
  4. Most people should be encouraged to pick up good habits rather than abandon the bad ones.

These days it seems most health practitioners think people would like to hear an emphasis on what they should do rather than what they should do AND stop.

For example:

  1. “Eat LESS pork” vs. “You shouldn’t eat pork at all, try to reduce your intake of meat in general and eat more fruits and vegetables.”
  2. “Eat more fruits and vegetable” vs. “You should eat more fruits and stop eating all this junk food!”

You get the picture.

Well, some facts have to be said at this point. Sadly, for most people, these health practitioners have due cause to think people do not want to be corrected.

In short, it seems people may not want to hear the truth because, as the popular saying goes, the truth hurts. Well, it doesn’t change the fact that the truth is the truth.

Now, please read the following verses from the Bible:

Proverbs 9: 8: “So don’t bother correcting mockers; they will only hate you. BUT CORRECT THE WISE, AND THEY WILL LOVE YOU.”

Proverbs 10:8: “The wise are glad to be instructed, but babbling fools fall flat on their faces.”

What do you notice about them? Well, if you said the wise person loves to be corrected since they view it as an opportunity to grow and improve, then you are right.

I will like to believe that applies to you and me.

It took someone telling me that the cause of my skin disorders (and later as I discovered my asthma) was improper eating. I could have disregarded that information but I chose not to and till this day, I am indebted to that former co-worker.

So, it is my hope that in you reading this, you too can take the pieces of advice given all over this book as coming from someone who cares and only wants to see his fellow people get better and be in good health.

That said, moving forward, you shouldn’t measure you health by how many good habits you have, but also by the bad ones that still exist. So, in other words, it shouldn’t matter so much, however healthy you may appear to be, that ‘you eat healthy most of the time and may indulge once a week” or that “you work out 5 times a week”

My friend, if you still eat any of the improper food items listed in this book such as fried foods, baked products, refined foods, meat (unclean and improperly prepared/reared clean ones), dairy products etc, the truth is your health will be directly affected by your bad habits no matter how many good ones you may have. Why? Because the bad ones create diseases and you may not be able to get rid of them no matter how many good habits you pick up.

For most people, we have a tendency to overlook the concept of cause and effect.

God has often tried to show man the important principle that every cause has an effect, every action has a reaction. However, we seem to have a hard time understanding this truth and as a result, we continue to suffer the effects of our transgressions and wrongdoing.

We gladly accept something to do, as long as it doesn’t involve getting rid of the bad habits we like to indulge in. Most people like to cling to bad habits. However, if you care about your health and the health of your offspring now is the time find the courage to face reality and decide to make some serious changes.

Nonetheless, remember the idea is not to be perfect per se, but rather to take an honest and sincere look at our habits and reform our lifestyles, especially when they show an obedience to God and His guidelines to us for health and since they are indeed proven to be medically and scientifically accurate and useful for our own good.

On a related note, I would like to share something that I saw on YouTube with you. Of all things, I watched an episode of the documentary entitled “Unsung The Story of Tammi Terrell.” I was moved by the fact that she battled a cancerous growth in her brain and had to have multiple surgeries to deal with the situation since the cancer kept coming back.

While watching this documentary, it dawned on me that many people seem to have similar stories. Stories like this really make me sad, not only because it shows a life was claimed when it could have been prevented. Suffice it to say this sad occurrence seems to happen a lot in our modern times.

Dear readers, I plead with you to remember what I said elsewhere in this blog: very rarely is any attention given to the cause of the ailment…so long as the real nature of disease and real source of cause are not understood, this will continue to be true and sadly continue to make us sick.

We can attempt to treat the results or effects of our wrong-doing by eating the things we should not eat but if we don’t change our dietetic habits, we will never be able to treat or remove the cause!

You may think some kind of solution or help may be found in drugs. Well as I said in some related articles, drugs do nothing but stop the natural process by hindering the cleansing procedure and storing the poisons away in the body to cause future problems!

They may mask the symptoms, but they never remove the cause. That’s why the same sickness that a drug is supposed to treat or prevent keeps on coming back and that’s why some people have to take the same pills over and over for years to treat a supposed disease. Let’s really think about that for a second my friends.

When dealing with diseases, we have to change our dietetic habits to treat the cause, the CAUSE…THE CAUSE.

I really want to emphasize that fact folks.

Now, what did God say in Hosea 4: 6? “My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge…”

Well, with this book which is firmly rooted in God’s principles for healthy living and the medical, scientific and statistical research to back it up, I can confidently say you should have more information (knowledge) to start to improve your health using the Health Laws of The Almighty God.

I have not put together a book that is made up of dogma or propaganda and neither am I a hypocrite who doesn’t practice what he preaches. Furthermore, I am not making any claims that you cannot simply do your own personal research on and of course you can always test the guidelines in this book out for a while and see if indeed they work for you. It sure cannot hurt to try.

That said, since you have read all this information, take an honest look at your habits and your health and if you see and know that you need to make a difference, then do it, you have nothing to lose and so much to gain. (That’s why I have included tasty recipes and substitutes for just about anything you may think you will miss by eating healthier. Moreover, in the few instances when there may not be any substitutes, I have included the facts on why you should avoid such habits.)

You have an awesome and Blessed Day my friend.
