Dear Friends, God has formed laws which govern our constitutions, and these laws which He has placed in our being are divine, and for every time we deviate from them, there is affixed a price, which must sooner or later be paid.

The majority of diseases which the human family have been and still are suffering from are due to the disobedience of these laws out of ignorance or stubbornness.

Many people die from diseases caused wholly by eating excessive meat yet the world does not seem to get the message or appear to want to make changes. From the standpoint of being humane, it should be noted that animals which have been driven quite a distance are frequently killed for the slaughter. Their blood has become heated. Most of the time they are bloated and have been deprived of healthy exercise, and when they have to travel far, they suffer from discomfort, disgust, nausea, etc. resulting from excessive eating of mostly the wrong foods. They are usually exhausted, and in that condition are killed for market.

As a result, it should be noted that at this stage, their blood is highly inflamed, and consuming flesh in that state (heated even as in cooked with all the variety of spices and condiments added) is the same as consuming poison. Although some people are not immediately affected, others are attacked with severe pain, and die from fever, cholera, or some unknown disease.

An explanation of the cause of an ulcer is necessary at this point.

Per the design of the human body, there is a sodium coating covering the entire inside wall of the stomach, and its purpose is to prevent the digestive juices from digesting the stomach itself. This coating is most efficient when it is intact. However, when any form of flesh food enters the stomach, the meat attracts the sodium in the same way as the walls of the stomach.

This draws some of the sodium from the walls and gathers around the meat, thus preventing the digestion of the meat in the stomach and at the same time reducing the sodium on the walls of the stomach.

As a result, when a person continues eating meat and most likely a sodium deficient diet, this sodium lining-when un-replaced-starts to deteriorate. The digestive juices then start digesting the stomach, producing what we call an ulcer. When this occurs, all conventional methods to heal the ulcer fail completely. Furthermore, considering that meat can remain in the stomach for several hours and begin to ferment and spoil, think about what effects this can have on the inner anatomy of the body.

In addition, when meat is consumed, it has to be broken down and for this to occur, the meat is passed on to the small intestine and the process of its being broken down for assimilation could take up to 48-72 hours. Just because meat is already a form of flesh, it does not follow that it is easily used by our bodies. In fact, just the reverse is true.

Meat (especially in these modern times when most cattle bred for eating are treated inhumanely and no longer fed grass but synthetic hormones and ground flesh of their breed) is very toxic and is an extremely undesirable form of nourishment. In the eating of meat, one must take into account all of our eliminative organs. They are made primarily to take care of our own wastes.

When we add animal flesh, containing the wastes of its cells, extra work is needed by these organs and various forms of trouble will eventually develop. Think about it logically, you sweat through your pores, if you do not bathe you know you may have a pungent odor, which shows you eliminate waste through the skin and this of course involves all the layers of tissue under it. Well, animals rarely bathe, if ever. When they are alive, they do give off an odor that will repulse the average person versus items of the plant kingdom, yet, people whole heartedly partake in eating flesh, even of the ones declared unclean by the Bible-with explanations now given by scientific research.

Keep in mind that all solid food has to be broken down into liquid to be transported by the blood for the body’s nourishment, thus it should be noted that flesh foods of all kinds (including fish) take much longer to reach this state and are less useful to the body than fruits and vegetables, in addition to the fact that they lack the necessary fiber to activate peristalsis for the most effective use of the digestive system.

At this time, take pork for example, although it’s one of the most common diet articles, it is arguably one of the most harmful food items that could be consumed. When God prohibited the Hebrews from eating swine, it was not just to show His Authority or to boss people around, but because it was not a proper article of food for man. It would fill the system with scrofula, and especially in that warm climate, produce leprosy and diseases of various kinds.

Moreover, its influence upon the system in that climate would be far more injurious than in a colder climate. It should be noted that God never designed the swine to be eaten under any circumstances. Still, many people have used (and are still using) pork freely as an important article of diet.

Pork or Swine’s flesh would not be appealing to taste in its natural state and it is only made palatable by excessive seasoning, which makes a very bad thing worse. Swine’s flesh above all other flesh meats, produces a bad state of the blood.

In addition to all of this, it should be noted that although animal flesh was never the best food, its use is now doubly harmful, since disease in animals is so rapidly increasing.

I have to remind you that in addition to all the facts given on why humans are not ideally supposed to eat flesh, times have changed from when the animals listed earlier on ate specifically what they were supposed to in order for them to be safe for permissible human consumption. I am quite sure that the people who led cattle to graze and fed chickens did not feed them hormones or genetically modified foods that are not biologically designed for these creatures.

Moreover, let me remind you that some of the afore mentioned biblical laws depicted that the animals could not be already dead, and God makes no mention of using condiments, fats, oils etc so suffice it to say, those laws could either only be practical if

1. One lived in countries where people actually raise these animals the right way.

2. People boiled or baked the flesh (which would be bland to me) and I guess added sea-salt for taste. It is noteworthy that salt is not mentioned in Leviticus for cooking clean meats, however Job 6:6 : (Is tasteless food eaten without salt), in the bible seems to depict that at least in that time, salt indeed was used for enhancing the taste of tasteless things-so the use of a little bit of uniodized sea-salt may be permissible.)

If you say, times have changed, keep up with the times, I present you with these facts:

Many beef producers add growth hormones to the food for cattle. Those hormones are passed along directly to the consumer’s body.

Do you know that some beef producers have even mingled manure and unusable corpse portions of cattle back into the feed to reduce costs and increase profits? These acts against nature make unclean animals from clean. Imagine a cow thoroughly ruminating on itself or its kind. Such wrong practices are generally considered to be the cause of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy, or BSE (mad cow’s disease). Here are some references on the subject after doing some research on it:

• There is strong evidence and general agreement that the outbreak was amplified by feeding rendered bovine meat-and-bone meal to young calves.

• Epidemiological studies conducted in the UK suggest that the source of BSE was cattle feed prepared from bovine tissues, such as brain and spinal cord that was contaminated by the BSE agent.

We see a rising trend in unsafe meat production these days so common sense dictates, to the best of our abilities, we should know the source and quality of the meat we eat. This includes fish and poultry. If chickens are raised in over-populated coups or fish are drawn from mercury-polluted waters, they should not be eaten.

Moreover, some people still avoid the now unclean-but-biblically clean animals and feast on things like Pork, Catfish, and Seafood.

Many unclean animals are predators, whereas a clean animal is an herbivore.

The Bible has established that every green herb was the diet originally intended for animals. When the Bible says green herb, it’s because they provide the nutrients to form muscle and flesh in these species. If we choose to eat meat, it makes sense that we eat meat formed directly from plant life and not many times removed.

Other unclean animals are scavengers. Their function is to remove decaying carcasses and filth from our lands and waters or to serve as filters for the oceans. These animals are often parasite ridden. In the case of pork and swine, the parasites may be reduced to a degree by cooking the meat; however that is not a consolation. The problem is more than parasites. The problem lies within the very constitution of the meat. If we are what we eat, then we are or at least becoming scavengers by eating unclean animals. Not only should we not eat them, we should not even touch their dead carcass.

Nowadays, the pig or swine is a very popular food item with even most Christians. Very tellingly for some reason, most well meaning Christians seem to not care that the God they profess to believe in has condemned the eating of swine’s flesh. The condemnation was based on some very sound biological, principles.
