Friends, it’s safe to say all denominations of Christianity: Catholic, protestant, etc and even the Pentateuch of the Jewish Torah agrees the Bible contains one obvious, yet oft-times overlooked verse: “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you.” Gen 1:29.


Well, it’s as clear as day, the Maker of all things has instructed us on what to eat for our own health.

Even if one is the most ardent atheist, it doesn’t take a genius to know that yes, plenty of Fruits mixed with Raw and/or properly cooked roots and leafy vegetables is a way more superior and healthier dietetic choice to

  1. Prevent obesity in the first place.
  2. Speed up and bring about a safe and quick weight loss.
  3. Ensure that one does not gain the pounds back.
  4. One is healthy during and after the phases of going on a weight loss program.

It truly makes me wonder, why do people consider the so many quick-fix diet and fads offered to us by the mass media promising to be the next best thing to bring about an effective and safe weight loss when the simple solution is staring them right in the face either in the Bible or…the produce section of any supermarket.

Folks, whether you want to ‘serve’ God or not, (which you may be drawn too anyway by eating these pure substances He advocates), I suggest that we go back to the basics when eating not only for weight loss but also for better health.

Therefore, the recommended staples of your diet should be your fruits and vegetables. However, a LITTLE (yes, very little) effort on your part may be needed for optimal success and that includes:

  1. Knowing the seasons of the items.
  2. Knowing their places of origin as far as growth and use of conventional cultivation practices.
  3. Knowing how to prepare, store and consume them.

Please don’t sigh and go: “Well, if I have to do all that, forget it…”

No. It’s about as much effort as when you go to the supermarket and buy stuff and cook at home or when you ask the waiter in the restaurant :”Oh, do you guys make the bread yourself..?”

Do not be worried about your needs as far as taste, nutrients, variety of even fun as these substances provide you with all the necessary nutrients such as Carbohydrates, Proteins, Fats, vitamins and minerals needed for weight loss, improved health and overall fitness.

Add an effective exercise routine such as Yoga, Pilates, The 5 Tibetan Rites, The Royal court Exercises, Calisthenics or working out at the Gym to this back bone for improved health and I guarantee you will see the pounds (and unhealthy debris on the inside) fall right off and fast!
