Okay, most people will agree that being slim and trim is a desired body size. I doubt if anyone wants the protruding gut or sagging arms and other signs of being overweight, however in the same vein, I doubt if anyone wants to be ‘skin and bones’.

Furthermore, although, there may arguably be more people trying to actually lose weight over gaining it per se, and of course both parties may be going after the added bonus from working out which is to get the shapely, trimmed and toned abs, arms, chest and whatever other body parts, the essential thing to remember, especially if you are losing weight, is how clean are you on the INSIDE where it counts.

Now, I don’t mean the popular saying of “You don’t judge a person on the outside, but by the content of their character” in terms of looks; I’m more about health.

What would be the point if you lose weight, gain muscles and the 6-pack abs of steel if on the inside, your visceral organs may be a cesspool of filth! Whatever is not built or gained on a proper foundation at some point will crumble.

Friends, most fitness experts, bodybuilders and their theories waste away and wear down prematurely sooner or later in the long run.


Simply because the supposed weight loss or muscles built with unnatural substances have a tendency to pretty much deflate. Moreover, ‘ripped’ muscles and supposed ‘feats’ of strength DO NOT depict proper and optimal health.

I’m sure by now most people have heard of the saying that “you are what you eat”. Yes, that cryptic statement is indeed saying a whole lot as what you eat plays arguably the most important role on your overall health and fitness, thus PROPER DIET should be the most important factor of any and every health seeker.

That said, if your desire is to attain a healthy weight loss with a simultaneous gain of good health and, yes…the muscles, (hey do look good…) I would suggest that your diet should consists as much as possible of raw and properly cooked fruits and vegetables.

In addition, the use of a 2-3 day juice or unsweetened/pure lemonade fast would also go a long way towards ensuring that the pounds lost and health gained are altogether healthy.
