Ask Naaman in The Bible, Less is More when it comes to Our Health

Let’s face it, most of us have the tendency to simply ignore God’s simple rules in regards to our health and most of the time, drugless/Natural healing (based on Biblical Principles of a plant-based diet and fasting when needed) seems to get a bad rap as not being sufficient or useful.

However, let me remind you of the story of Naaman in the Bible in 2 Kings 5:1-19.

The man had leprosy and was referred Elisha in Israel, who prescribed a wash in the River Jordan. Like most people, Naaman doubted the efficiency of that and actually walked off in anger until one of his servants told him: “My father, if the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more, then, when he tells you, ‘Wash and be cleansed’!” 2 Kings 5: 13

Well, a similar principle applies here.

If this book had said to use some pills and drugs and visit a certain practitioner that would have charged an astronomical amount of money to cure a degenerative disease (that could simply be reversed by changing one’s lifestyle), most people would take the book at its word. However, I am simply suggesting that everyone should go back to the basics in regards to using a plant-based diet for healing and preventing diseases, in addition to attending to other principles that have to do with health such as adequate exercise, sunshine, keeping one’s environment clean etc.

On a related note, per the information given elsewhere on using Natural sources for vitamins instead of synthetic ones, I would like to bring it to your attention that most dieticians recommend getting essential vitamins through whole foods without relying on supplements. With whole fruits you get specific vitamins as well as all the essential nutrients necessary for immune function and energy.

In addition, the likelihood of ingesting too much of any vitamin from whole foods is little.

However, overdosing from mega-vitamin supplementation does occur. In large doses, some vitamins have documented side-effects that tend to be more severe. So, for these reasons, you should never take mega-doses of any vitamins and simply drink your DAILY LEMONADE and eat your fruits and vegetables.

On a related note, undoubtedly, by squeezing lemon juice in water and drinking it several minutes after eating unhealthy foods, or by squeezing the juice of the lemon on some unhealthy items like meat, fish etc, the harmful effects of such substances is partly reduced-NOT eliminatedreduced. That means over time, if you keep on eating unhealthy things, you will still be putting your body at risk! Therefore, although this is NOT a license for you to continue to eat unhealthy items, do see to it that if you happen to cheat on your diet or give in to temptations etc that you drink the lemonade recipe given elsewhere in this text both morning and night.

Again, it’s one lemon to one quart of room-temperature water, so at night time 1-2 quarts of lemonade should suffice before going to sleep-if you happen to eat unhealthy items.

To wrap up this article, the dietetic laws in the Bible should not be taken lightly and have to be essential to our very existence due to the fact that in the TWO recorded times in the Bible that God instructed mankind to Be Fruitful and Multiply and Have Dominion over the Entire earth (See Genesis 1:28 and Genesis 9:1-2), the Good LORD comes right behind and gives the fundamental dietetic guidelines for living in both instances. So, it must go hand in hand in regards to living fulfilling and productive lives to simply…eat right! Surely, it can’t hurt to at least give the principles here a try. Suffice it to say they could help immensely.
